Looking for the Front Door: three examples of brokerage solutions for community-university partnerships

Universities are complex organisations that have no clearly-recognisable ‘front door’ for the community, making it difficult for VCS organisations to access relevant university-based resources and expertise on their own terms.

This event will showcase three examples of community-university partnership brokerage that have been successful elsewhere.

  • Community University Partnership Project, University of Brighton
  •  Interchange, Liverpool Hope, John Moores, and University of Liverpool
  • Centre for Social Justice and Community Action, Durham University

Short presentations will be followed by a discussion about whether any of these models would be useful for VCS organisations in the Greater Manchester context.

Organised jointly by GMCVO, ARVAC, MMU and Edge Hill University.

13.00pm to 4pm, with lunch from 12.30pm
