Make it Work

Make it Happen has created the operational division (Make it Work) of the consultancy to provide personnel and ethical consultancy services within the UK through the development of operations and strategic management in the business and enterprise sectors. We pride ourselves in working with our clients to enable them to become less reliant on consultants in the future and more self sufficient through the development of sustainable income generation.

 

Cost review/control

As the present economic climate is making is harder for organisations to make profit or develop new services we are able to offer a cost review and control service to support any business or enterprise against spiralling costs through poor efficiencies, control, poor purchasing or not fully understanding the costs of running your organisation.

We have experience in reviewing and controlling costs within any organisation to improve profit margins through cost cutting or reorganisation through to the development of new efficient processes. 

All work carried out by us is in the strictness of confidence and are more than happy to sign confidentially agreements with our clients.

Business/Product/Service Development

The continued growth for any organisation can be achieved by the development of the business through the development of additional products and services which in turn can increase market share.

The development of new products and services can provide additional income streams in to your organisation as it enables you to diversify where your profits comes from therefore reducing the impact if one product/service fails to meet expectations.

The planning and development of new products and services can be lengthy and daunting for anyone or an organisation has an idea but is unsure how to progress.

Policies and Procedures

 

The creation and development of policies and procedures are essential in any growing business either if it is in the start up stage or for a company with a multi million pound turnover.

 

The development of policies and procedures in some cases are legal requirements relating to health and safety, data protection, trading standards and in most cases clearly defines how the business should be run to the expectations of the directors.

 

Developing these documents are generally one of the last things organisations tend to think about and therefore only get developed when there is a requirement to do so for example, tendering for business or when a error has occurred as there were no written procedures in place.

SLA's

 

The creation of SLA’s (service level agreements) is essential when engaging suppliers as SLA’s clearly define the expectations of an organisation in relation to the expected operational performance of the supplier.

 

Essential criteria relating to the suppliers service delivery is taken and used in the formulation of the SLA which is structured around key areas i.e. accuracy, quality and quantity. Once the SLA has been developed you are then able to create the performance levels that you expect from the supplier which are summarised in the form of KPI’s (key performance indicators), once the SLA and KPI’s have been developed any organisation is able to effectively manage and receive the best service from its suppliers.

 

We at Make it Happen work in partnership with a number of clients to develop the SLA’s with KPI’s on key suppliers which are essential to their service delivery, the development of these documentations can be completed at the same time as negotiating with suppliers price.

 

Manual/Document development

 

The development of key manuals/documents for any organisation enables the legal and operation compliance together with supporting the increasing of efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation, examples of manuals previously created are operations, health and safety, training and security.  Make it Happen can support the creation of the manuals to provide a one stop shop for all policies/procedures, how to guides, contacts relating to the areas above.

 

Negotiation support

 

Getting the best deals for your organisation is not always easy especially during this current economic climate however it is important to achieve the “best deal” possible, not only on price but service as well.

 

Negotiation support can be provided in a variety of forms, one of these forms are supplier days, where organisations are invited to your premises to discuss prices and service levels with a view of improving performance and reducing costs, although no guarantees can be made, they have proved to be successful from previous experience.

Business Planning

 

We at Make it Happen understand that the development of a business plan can be a long process which can use a lot of valuable management time to complete, we recognise that not all organisations can devote the required amount of time to create a plan.

 

Make it Happen have supported a large number of organisations in the development of their business plans; for a organisation as a whole or just a specific product or service.  We work closely with directors and management teams to formalise the business approach for the future.

 

Using our in-depth knowledge and experience we are able to work with you to reduce the time taken to complete the plan through the formalisation of ideas and development of marketing strategies/producing budgets which can intern be used for applications for a business loan of private funding.

Tender Support

 

The creation and development of tender documents can prove intimidating and time consuming for most organisations and as such many organisations either never finish completing them prior to the deadline or do not attempt in the first place. We at Make it Happen understand the importance of tenders to stabilise and grow any organisation. We pride ourselves on being able to develop a tender in line with the requirements whilst highlighting all areas that are the key to a successful tender, from cost analysis, development of training and quality management, creating structures through to the development of the final tender submission.

 

We are happy to work alongside directors and management teams to develop the tender or work independently and report into the organisations board when required, the service we offer is 100% bespoke as no two organisations are the same.

Interim Management

 

Make it Happen offers a fully flexible and bespoke interim management and strategic support to organisations whether for just one day a month to full time for a number of months.

Project Management

 

Make it Happen has vast amounts of experience in running projects from just a few thousand pounds to million pound projects and believes that no two projects are the same due to the individual nature of each project.

 

We are able to provide project management support or just provide advice on the project and as with all of our services it is totally bespoke.

 

Upon the receipt of proposed scope of work, we will work together with the organisation to produce a project plan including timelines and costing, once agreed we will work either independently or with the organisation to source suppliers and relevant personnel to complete the project within confirmed costs and timescales.

We work simply without using complicated terminology or jargon, just consideration on getting the job right first time.  

 

Business Mentoring

As we understand that group training is not always suitable for all as they do depend on the individual learning style and position within the organisation.   In recognition of this we are able to offer a mentoring service which supports individuals on a one to one basis. This service is particular aimed at senior management and directors.

The mentoring takes the form of coaching and support of real life issues and events to ensure the mentoring is relevant to the individual, we feel this way is the best way to support the mentored. Each session can be as little as 2 hours.

HR Services

As with all changes to an organisation irrespective to whether its relates to the development of new products/services or costs or reviews which may lead to changes of work practices, they all effect your employees or volunteers, with this in mind we can support the transition to ensure your employees or volunteers are supported and cared for as we strongly believe that an organisations personnel are key to the continued success of an organisation.
