Nicola Dickins is the founder
and Managing Director of Make it Happen Consultancy Ltd, an organisation that provides Training, Business Development Support
and Consultancy to the Third Sector.
Nicola is also co-founder
and Director of the Social Training and Enterprise Programme for Success (STEPS) CIC;
a Social Enterprise set up with the aim to raise awareness of Social Enterprise both nationally and internationally.
Her key achievements are:
- Supported the start up of 30 new social enterprises UK wide.
- Sourced over £1,000,000 in funding for clients of Make it Happen.
- Finalist for the Edge Upstart Awards in the category of Social Enterprise Mentor of the Year.
- Developed a number of Corporate/Social Enterprise mutually beneficial partnerships.
- Member of the DoH Sounding Board on behalf of Attend.
- Social Enterprise Advisor to PRIME.
Nicola has over 15 years
experience within the voluntary sector gained as a Volunteer, Trustee, Project Manager and Regional Manager for National Charities
and local organisations.
Nicola is an Associate member of CIPD, the
Social Enterprise Coalition, Charities Information Bureau and the Institute of Fundraising.
She is currently undertaking her MA in Social Enterprise Management at John Moores University, Liverpool.
Richard is co Founder and Executive Director
of Make It Happen Consultancy Ltd and has 15 years experience in the retail, catering and logistics environments including
6 years within the third sector with WRVS.
Richard has gained experienced
at all levels of management helping him develop through each role to reach the position of Director, the roles that he has
carried out are Retail Manager, Dual Site Manager, Regional Operations Manager, Operations Manager, Senior Operations Manager
and Director.
Each of these roles have
provided Richard with knowledge and experience of management from strategic management to man management and has provided
him with the experience and skills required to develop businesses to make them profitable or increase their profitability
through cost reduction and through business development which includes the development of policies, procedures, Service Level
Agreements and Tenders which has helped win in excess of 13.5 million pounds worth of contracts.
Richard’s approach
to consultancy is simple, he is here to provide practical support, coach and mentor individuals to become less reliant of
consultancy in the future and increase knowledge and skills to develop business.
