Nicola Dickins – Director

Nicola has over 20 years experience working and supporting Social Enterprise, the Public Sector and Third Sector organisations at both strategic and operational levels and has complementary educational experience through her Masters in Social Enterprise Management at John Moore’s University. Nicola is a Director of Make it Value CIC and a previous Non Executive Director of Our Life. Nicola’s practical experience extends further through the support and creation of 48 social enterprises across the legal spectrum and the strategic development and growth of over 182 social enterprises and not for profit organisations in health, education, community engagement, media, arts, employment and the environment. Specialising in feasibility studies for Social Enterprise Development. Nicola is a guest lecturer on Social Enterprise and Social Value at Manchester University, Oxford Brooks, Cambridge and the London School for Economics.

 

Richard Dickins – Director

Richard has 18 years experience within the Third and Private sectors at operational and strategic levels, managing budgets and organisations with up to £90 million turnover per annum. He has supported the strategic development of Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda, Waitrose and B&Q. Richard was employed as an Operations Director for Momentum UK, the second largest field marketing company in the UK. Richard’s portfolio of clients includes eight leading “Spin Outs” that he has supported through business planning and the development of social impact and value measurement frameworks.

Richard is a Director of Make it Value CIC and his knowledge extends to the support and development of 74 social businesses and the setting up of a further 16 new enterprises across the Public Service Mutuals arena. Richard is a Council Member for Social Enterprise UK and a Royal Society for Arts and Economics Fellow. Richard is a Social Enterprise Mentor for Social Enterprise North West, SEDFI qualified and is considered a leader in the UK for Social Return on Investment (SROI) assessments sitting on the methodology assurance board and the International Council for the development of the SROI model. Richard has support organisation to generate new sources of revenue through trading and public sector commissioning of over £45 million.

Sue Agar – Project Manager

Sue has a wealth of knowledge skills and experience gained from over 15 years within the Third Sector. Sue has held numerous operational positions with WRVS that have included, Project Manager and Area Manager (North West). Through Age Concern, Sue used her skills as Project Manager to set up a Home from Hospital Scheme under the Partnership for Older Peoples Project for residents in South Manchester and successfully managed the contract to over exceed targets.

Ryan Kennedy – External Communications Officer

Ryan manages our external communications through our social media presence including news updates, twitters, blogs, website and Facebook. He collates all the best news stories, funding updates and policy changes to keep our clients up to date.

We have a team of 15 associate consultants through our consortium of Social and Ethical Consultants (COSEC) whose skills, knowledge and understanding of Charity, Social Enterprise and Social Business sector is second to none, their specialist skills are in financial development, marketing, training and development, human resources, research and evaluation, change management, business planning and social impact measurement.
